Trip has been practicing and teaching yoga for over two decades, focusing on Ashtanga and Vaisnav Bhakti. The practice first introduced him to Sanskrit literature just over fifteen years ago through texts such as the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Upanishads. Through his studies with Sanskrit professor, Dr. Antonia Ruppel, the world of Sanskrit opened up in all directions.
His published works include "Yoga Katha, Yoga Sutras" a commentary and translation of Patanjali's The Yoga Sutras and its corresponding app for iOS and Android. He is also the citta behind House of Sanskrit and its learning algorithm.
His other works include the Yoga Prison Project, teaching yoga in San Quentin Penitentiary, establishing Food Not Bombs chapters across the United States, and direct actions with EarthFirst! to prevent deforestation.
He is very grateful to his teachers Sri Sri Krishna Radha, Sri Caitanya Maharaj, Bir Krishna Goswami Maharaj, Dhanurdhara Swami Maharaj, the entire Guadiya Math, Dharma Mittra , Balu Thevar , Adam Sobel and with all pranams to Dr. Antonia Ruppel.
